SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

As Lindström’s new Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing Lindström Group’s interaction with stakeholders in our social media channels. In this role, your aim is to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and drive engagement on various social media platforms by implementing our renewed social media strategy. Among your key tasks will be to ideate and create content in versatile formats, analyze data, and monitor our social media performance. This is a fixed term position until the end of 2025, with the possibility of continuing with Lindström for longer. You will be reporting to the Director of Brand & Communications, and your location will be at our Head Office in Kalasatama, Helsinki, where we are working in a hybrid model. 

In this role, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Creating engaging, tailored, and relevant content in various formats for all Lindström Group’s social media channels
  • Managing and implementing the Group’s social media strategy to align with business goals and to promote Lindström’s brand and thought-leadership
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on social media performance by using relevant tools and metrics, as well as identifying development issues and improvement ways
  • Following social media trends relevant to Lindström’s marketing activities and staying up to date on tools, audience preferences, and best practices
  • Working with Lindström’s marketing and communication professionals to develop best practices for social media activities and campaigns, and ensuring engaging messaging and brand consistency
  • Coaching and supporting Lindström’s country organizations in their local social media activities and building competencies

We are looking for a new team member with a few years’ experience in social media and marketing in a multinational environment. Good communication and writing skills are essential for this role, as are good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. We hope you have a proactive and hands-on attitude, a readiness to learn and be a part of developing our social media strategy and processes, and an understanding of how we can best bring forward our brand. Our ideal candidate has: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • At least three years of experience in social media related activities in a large organization
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the latest digital technologies and social media trends
  • Excellent communication skills particularly in writing, as well as the ability to bring forward the organization’s views in a creative and compelling way
  • Experience in creating and working with videos, photos, illustrations, infographics, and other visuals, and from related programs and tools (e.g. Canva, Photoshop) is seen as an advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken English
